For vanilla cake recipe you are required
⦁ Food color (if you like to add)
⦁ Flour 3 cups (390 gram)
⦁ Vegetable oil 1/8 cup
⦁ 600-gram granulated sugar (3 cups)
⦁ 1 ½ cup buttermilk
⦁ Egg white 7
⦁ Baking powder 10 gram (2 ½ tsp)
⦁ Salt 1 tsp
⦁ Vanilla extract 2 tsp
⦁ Unsalted butter (1 cup)
For vanilla Buttercream Frosting
You are required:
⦁ Whipping cream (1/3 cup)
⦁ Unsalted butter (3 cups)
⦁ Vanilla bean paste (18 gram or 1 ½ tsp)
⦁ Salt (1 tsp)
⦁ Powdered sugar (11 cup or 1375 grams)
Vanilla cake layers
⦁ Preheat oven to 350°F.
⦁ Grace the 7 inches 4 pans with non-stick baking spray.
⦁ Take a bowl and add sugar, baking powder, flour, and salt. Mix them well with machine or hand until they did not get combined.
⦁ Then mix chunks of room temperature butter very nicely and slowly into the dry mix. Do it slowly. Mix it until the material become crumbly.
⦁ Add the material into egg while and mix it very slowly. Add half buttermilk mix than well and then add the remaining buttermilk, again mix it well.
⦁ Add vanilla and oil. Beat the material carefully for the next 15-20 seconds, so the material gets mixed properly.
⦁ If desired, add the food color and then mix it well.
⦁ Put the material equally into the pans.
⦁ Cook the pans for 35 minutes and then allow them to be cool.
⦁ Keep the layers into the freezer for 40-45 minutes. Once they get cool, remove the layers from the pans carefully.
For Vanilla Buttercream Frosting:
You have to:
⦁ After finishing the vanilla layers work, it’s time to make vanilla buttercream frosting.
⦁ Mix salt and vanilla bean paste at a slow speed.
⦁ Beat the butter at slow speed for the next 25-30 seconds, then add the sugar (add one cup mix it well and then add another cup and so on).
⦁ Start mixing the material at low speed until you did not get your desired results.
⦁ If you feel foresting is very thick, then add I tsp (once) of cream, and if the foresting is too thin that you have to add sugar powder (1/4 of the cup at one time).
Prepare the cake
After making layers and frosting, it’s time to assemble the cake
⦁ Add frost cake layer on non-stick board.
⦁ Add a layer of buttercream between the layers.
⦁ In the end, add a thin layer of frosting the cake to cover the layer fully.
⦁ Keep the cake into the freezer for 5 minutes, so the layer sticks to the cake. Then add a second but thick layer with the help of bench scraper.
